Overview In this role you drive capital purchases for Starlink, partnering with internal teams to optimize value and supply continuity. You'll shape sourcing strategies and supplier relationships to reduce cost and lead time while ensuring performance against contracts. You will work in a fast-moving program that aims to scale Starlink's global broadband capabilities. You help maximize efficiency through negotiations, risk management, and cost modeling, enabling reliable, timely delivery of critical equipment and services. This position offers a meaningful chance to influence procurement for a high-impact space mission.
Responsibilities- Place purchase orders and resolve blocked invoices
- Forecast demand and manage supply signals for incoming material
- Track supplier performance on cost, on-time delivery, quality, and other metrics
- Negotiate to maximize value and reduce risk
- Create sourcing strategies for Equipment, Services, MRO, and custom parts
- Solve complex open-ended problems with speed and efficiency
- Develop a preferred supplier network and reduce cost/lead time
- Perform onsite reviews of vendor capabilities
- Author contract documents with the legal department and manage contract obligations
- Understand interrelationships between contracts and business needs and apply creative reasoning
- Maximize value/cost savings through negotiations and cost modeling (Total Cost of Ownership, Should-Cost)
Key requirements- Bachelor's degree and 1+ years in Engineering, Purchasing, Contract negotiation, Material/production planning, Operations or supply chain management, Material cost control, Master production scheduling
