Overview In this role, you act as a senior underwriting authority for complex residential and commercial title transactions across Texas markets. You'll advise agents and internal teams, shape deal structures, and guide risk decisions within delegated authority. You collaborate with escrow, sales, and operations to keep deals moving, while evolving underwriting guidelines. This position offers autonomy, variety across markets, and the chance to solve nuanced title challenges at scale.

Responsibilities- Serve as senior underwriting resource for agents, customers, and internal stakeholders
- Analyze and underwrite complex residential and commercial title transactions
- Provide clear guidance on title issues, curative matters, and risk mitigation
- Make risk decisions within authority limits (approve/modify/decline)
- Partner with escrow, sales, and operations teams to keep transactions moving
- Interpret and contribute to underwriting guidelines while applying them
- Support high-value and time-sensitive deals with accuracy and speed
- Act as a problem-solver on challenging files with creative, business-minded solutions
Key requirements- 5-7+ years of title underwriting experience with increasing complexity
- Strong working knowledge of real estate law, title insurance, and settlement practices
- Proven ability to handle complex or high-liability transactions confidently
- Comfort operating with autonomy and making risk-based decisions
- Strong communication skills to translate title issues into guidance
