Compensation Manager, Vice President

Overview

In this role, you will serve as a strategic compensation expert for select clients, advising on offers, promotions, budgeting, and retention. You will analyze business needs, market conditions, and governance requirements to inform compensation decisions. You'll translate complex data into recommendations for senior leaders and partner with HR and business teams to optimize compensation programs. This position offers impact across firm-wide initiatives, including policy reviews and systems changes, in a fast-paced environment. You will contribute to a high-performance culture through rigorous analysis, collaboration, and clear strategic guidance.

Responsibilities
  • Support and advise on compensation activities (offers, promotions, transfers, budgeting, retention)
  • Understand business challenges, analyze issues, and propose solutions
  • Perform complex analyses and present findings to senior management
  • Provide clear recommendations to influence compensation practices
  • Collaborate with HR business partners to improve compensation programs and processes
  • Monitor market conditions and pay practices to ensure competitiveness
  • Translate governance and policy requirements into clear client guidance
  • Participate in firm-wide compensation projects (policy reviews, system changes)
Key requirements
  • 6+ years of HR/Compensation or Finance experience with strong analytical skills
  • Fast-paced environment adaptability
  • Advanced Excel and Microsoft applications proficiency
  • Proven consulting skills and ability to drive business goals through compensation strategies
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Collaborative mindset with HR partners, business clients, and colleagues
  • Strong analytical, planning, and project management skills
  • Ability to convey complex concepts to senior leaders and maintain operational excellence
