Overview

In this Senior Project Architect role within HDR's Healthcare Architecture Practice, you lead multidisciplinary teams to deliver coordinated architectural documents across project phases. You'll manage client and internal meetings, ensure code compliance, and oversee QA/QC, RFI/CTP processes, and change management. The position emphasizes collaboration with diverse disciplines to meet schedules and project goals in healthcare, education, and civic facilities. Responsibilities
  • Lead a multidiscipline team and perform layout and detailing on architectural projects
  • Coordinate work of a multidiscipline team through multiple project phases
  • Lead owner/client and internal meetings; participate in code compliance reviews with authorities
  • Conduct site work sessions with Project Manager and other disciplines
  • Coordinate team workload across phases to meet schedules
  • Review documents for conflicts across disciplines
  • Perform QA/QC and technical reviews
  • Write and edit architectural specifications
  • Coordinate with affected disciplines on addenda, RFIs, CPRs and change orders; incorporate changes into documents
  • Lead projects in a dual management role as needed; provide construction contract administration as needed
Key requirements
  • Bachelor in Architecture
  • Minimum 10 years of experience
  • Registered Architect
  • Proficient with Autodesk Revit; familiarity with related tools and processes
  • Experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Project Schedule)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Demonstrated graphic presentation skills
  • Experience in preparation and layout of architectural contract documents and specifications
  • Strong knowledge of codes and good planning skills
  • Active participation in employee-owned culture
