Overview In this hybrid Architect role, you will design scalable, secure API architectures and governance-driven data solutions to enable trusted access to enterprise data. You'll define end-to-end data blueprints, automate quality checks with Python, and configure Collibra to manage catalogs, glossaries, and lineage. You'll collaborate with engineers and stakeholders to translate governance into practical designs, ensuring regulatory compliance and data-driven insights. This role offers impact through shaping data strategy in a complex, global environment.
Responsibilities- Design scalable API architectures for enterprise data access across domains and platforms
- Define end-to-end data architecture blueprints linking source systems, pipelines and analytic platforms
- Develop Python-based solutions for data quality, metadata capture and governance workflows
- Establish data governance principles, policies and procedures
- Configure Collibra Data Intelligence Cloud for data catalog, glossary, and lineage
- Implement Collibra workflows with Python to streamline data stewardship and issue management
- Collaborate with data engineers, stewards, and business stakeholders to translate governance requirements into technical designs
- Provide guidance on standardizing data models and reference data for consistent APIs and analytics
- Monitor data quality, policy adherence, and Collibra usage to identify improvements
- Evaluate new tools and best practices for API development, Python engineering, and governance
- Support project teams during design, build, and deployment phases with clear architecture decisions
- Document architecture patterns, standards and governance guidelines for onboarding and learning
- Promote responsible data use and secure API practices to build trust with customers
Key requirements- Extensive experience designing and implementing REST-based API architectures with emphasis on scalability, security, and maintainability
- Advanced Python proficiency for data pipelines, automation scripts, integration utilities, and governance tooling
- Hands-on expertise with Collibra Data Intelligence Cloud (domains, workflows, catalogs, glossaries, lineage)
- In-depth knowledge of data governance frameworks: ownership, stewardship, data quality controls, policy enforcement
- Strong understanding of metadata management, master data concepts, and data quality techniques
- Experience in hybrid work environments with distributed teams and strong communication
- Familiarity integrating Collibra with data platforms and API gateways to embed governance
- Ability to craft clear architectural documentation and governance guidelines for diverse stakeholders
- Background in day-shift enterprise project delivery aligning data solutions with operational timelines
