Overview

In this role you drive recruiting for AWS Science, partnering with hiring teams to shape sourcing, assessment, and closing strategies. You advise leaders on technical hiring and build targeted talent pools to support long-term growth. You'll manage stakeholder expectations with data-driven plans and ensure timely candidate slates aligned to role specs. This position offers impact across Amazon businesses, shaping how top scientific and technical talent is identified and brought on board.

Responsibilities
  • Partner with hiring teams to craft sourcing, assessment, and closing strategies with clear prioritization and data-driven plans
  • Source and close both active and passive science candidates based on role fit and motivation
  • Advise business leaders on technical hiring strategy and deliver measurable results
  • Build sourcing models to generate targeted talent pools and calibrate job profiles with hiring managers
  • Design and implement recruiting processes aligned with long-range growth and Amazon's mission
  • Document hiring plans with deliverables, timelines, and tracking
  • Screen, interview, and deliver candidate slates on consistent timelines meeting position specs
  • Own recruiting initiatives including interviewing best practices, internal talent leverage, and top performer identification
Key requirements
  • 5+ years of corporate and/or search firm progressive recruiting with full lifecycle experience
  • Experience building and using varied sourcing plans and proactive research
  • Experience with CTS/ATS for sourcing, tracking, and managing candidates
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, SharePoint, PowerPoint)
  • Experience managing multiple searches, projects, and client relationships
