Overview In this role you drive field leadership on Maine Turnpike Authority projects, overseeing contract administration and team coordination for complex infrastructure work. You will shape project execution, manage field issues, and ensure alignment with schedules, costs, and quality. You collaborate with clients and multifaceted teams to deliver safe, on-time, and on-budget outcomes that support the client's transportation priorities. This position offers impact through technical leadership and strategic delivery on high-stakes projects.
Responsibilities- Provide overall field management of the contract, administration, and coordination on complex projects
- Lead and mentor construction staff to meet project objectives and safety standards
- Review drawings, specs, and installation procedures for constructability; propose design changes when needed
- Represent projects at meetings and maintain client and stakeholder communication
- Manage projects up to $10M construction value and support mini-mega project pursuits
- Develop project scope, fee quotations, and assist in technical proposals and contracts
- Monitor contractor progress against the schedule; prepare daily activity summaries
- Oversee project controls, scheduling reviews, and cost control; develop change orders and estimates
- Coordinate submittals with contractors and design teams to meet schedule requirements
- Lead project delivery using SDA; execute project management plans and maintain risk/change management
- Recruit, develop, and retain construction staff; plan staff reporting and performance reviews
- Support business development and client relationships for strategic projects
Key requirements- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering
- 8 years of relevant experience
