Overview

In this role you will govern and administer Schneider Electric's U.S. and Canadian retirement programs, ensuring compliance and sound financial oversight. You will work with TPAs, auditors, and regulators to deliver accurate pension administration and timely filings, while prioritizing a positive participant experience. You'll support audits, regulatory submissions, and governance activities across pension and health and welfare plans. This is a chance to shape retirement program governance at a global industrial technology leader with a sustainability focus.

Responsibilities
  • Manage ongoing administration of U.S. and Canadian defined benefit pension plans
  • Coordinate with third-party administrators to ensure accurate benefit administration
  • Oversee participant experience and resolution of issues for defined benefit members
  • Support wind-up and termination activities with service providers and regulators
  • Lead annual financial audits for U.S. pension and 401(k) plans and coordinate Canadian audits
  • Support corporate audit with retirement plan-related information
  • Prepare and submit Form 5500 filings and SARs for U.S. plans
  • Manage PBGC premium filings and Annual Funding Notices
  • Handle provincial Canadian filings (AIRs, PBGF assessments, SIPPs, etc.)
  • Prepare filings for U.S. health and welfare plans (CMS RDS, RxDC, Part D, Gag Clause attestations)
  • Support renewal of Pension Trust Liability Insurance
  • Maintain internal controls and documentation for governance and compliance
Key requirements
  • 5+ years in pension administration, retirement plan compliance, or related field
  • Experience managing U.S. qualified retirement plans (defined benefit and 401(k
  • Familiarity with Canadian pension administration and regulatory requirements
  • Experience coordinating financial audits and regulatory filings for retirement plans
  • Experience working with TPAs, actuaries, auditors, and regulatory agencies
  • Bachelor in Finance (or related field) and professional certifications such as CEBS preferred
