School Fundraising Director

Overview

In this field-based role, you drive fundraising and school engagement to support Kids Heart Challenge and American Heart Challenge. You'll collaborate with teachers and districts to promote kids' health while meeting a significant fundraising target. You'll manage data across CRM systems and deliver engaging experiences for students, both in person and online. This position offers flexibility, travel, and cross-functional support to scale health education efforts in Southern Kansas.

Responsibilities
  • Meet and exceed an overall fundraising goal of $280,000 through volunteer recruitment, engagement, and account management
  • Recruit and engage students in schools and districts via Kids Heart Challenge and American Heart Challenge
  • Design and implement classroom challenges, activities, and assemblies (in-person and digital) to maximize student participation
  • Develop relationships with teachers, principals, and superintendents for ongoing collaboration
  • Provide outstanding customer service to volunteers and partners, including planning and kickoff meetings
  • Maintain and continuously update CRM databases and Microsoft Office data
  • High-volume account management involving 5-10 schools daily, in-person or virtual
Key requirements
  • 3 years of relevant fundraising, sales, or related experience
  • Daily local travel with reliable transportation
  • University/College degree or equivalent experience
  • Ability to work from home and in the field per flexible policy
  • Independent work style with proactive communication
  • Thrives in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong data management with CRM proficiency and Microsoft Office
  • Ability to lift/move large objects as needed
  • Willingness to work flexible hours including early mornings and evenings
  • Preferred: experience managing volunteer relationships; knowledge of corporate/community networks
