Overview

In this role, you manage PO pricing, terms, contracts and supplier commitments to support raw materials, capital items, services, MRO, and indirect purchases. You will plan demand using MRP data to ensure on-time delivery while minimizing inventory. You select reliable suppliers that meet design, quality, and price targets, and you help optimize working capital and supplier performance. You'll work closely with R&D, operations, and cross-functional teams to maintain compliant supplier networks and accurate ERP records. This position offers meaningful impact through cost reductions, supplier optimization, and steady supply for manufacturing.

Responsibilities
  • Place and modify purchase orders and contracts for raw materials, equipment, services, MRO items, and indirect materials
  • Perform material planning analyses using orders, forecasts, production schedules, lead times, and inventory levels
  • Negotiate pricing, quality, and cost-saving opportunities with existing or new suppliers
  • Assist R&D with supplier information and material samples for development programs
  • Ensure approved products use materials from qualified suppliers and valid supply chains
  • Verify supplier status documentation and maintain records of certificates and Hold Harmless agreements
  • Produce quarterly supplier scorecards and store them in SharePoint
  • Coordinate SCAR process to resolve defective material issues with the SQE team
  • Support change control procedures for supplier changes
  • Enter and maintain supplier data in ERP (pricing, lead times, MOQs, shelf life)
  • Ensure credits or replacements are obtained for shipment/receipt discrepancies
  • Comply with safety regulations
  • Performs other duties as assigned
Key requirements
  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in business, purchasing, supply chain management, technical or related field
  • Strong verbal and written communications
  • ERP experience (preferably Oracle)
  • Results-oriented with track record of delivering business benefits
  • Negotiation analysis and presenting options
  • Basic understanding of manufacturing operations
