Overview In this role you will learn the full underwriting process and support the Executive Products Group. You will work with internal teams and brokers to process submissions, analyze financial statements, and prepare quotes and underwriting opinions. Responsibilities- Learn the underwriting process from start to finish under supervision
- Review submissions and assess viability for quoting
- Analyze financial statements to determine submission viability
- Prepare and present new business quotes to brokers after underwriter review
- Complete detailed underwriting worksheets with financial analysis and opinions
- Enter submissions into underwriting systems, including rating models and endorsements
- Review and approve policies for issuance
- Evaluate and bind new or renewal submissions across sectors with guidance
- Foster relationships with wholesale brokers
- Assist with special projects as needed
Key requirements- Bachelor degree
- 0-3 years of related experience
- Ability to apply analytical methods to underwriting
- Strong written and verbal communication of findings
- Proficiency with software to summarize and analyze underwriting accounts
- Ability to document and communicate risk operations
- Understanding of financial statements and underwriting analysis
- Participation in underwriting-related continuing education
