Overview In this role you will extract, integrate and analyze data from internal and external sources to create insights that support business goals. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams and key stakeholders to ensure analytics deliverables align with objectives. You'll identify risks and craft data-driven solutions that enable informed decisions. You'll work on multiple projects, building reports and models that quantify value and drive Wellmark's data-centric strategy.
Responsibilities- Participate in discovery sessions with stakeholders to understand objectives and gather requirements
- Source, extract and consolidate data from multiple sources for analysis
- Profile and prepare data for analysis and modeling
- Build and run models, including forecasts and trend analysis, with visualizations
- Interpret results and quantify business value, then summarize findings for stakeholders
- Develop narratives and recommendations based on data insights
- Create and maintain production reporting schedules and ensure timely delivery
- Collaborate with peers to define reporting objectives and deliver actionable analyses
- Wrangle diverse data sets into normalized, enriched assets for new insights
- Document data sourcing, analysis procedures, and maintain data quality and integrity
- Support corporate process improvements and manage multiple projects simultaneously

Key requirements- Bachelor in Statistics, Mathematics, Finance, Accounting, Computer Science, Engineering, or Economics
- Less than 1 year of hands-on experience in data or statistical analysis
- Experience with SQL dialects and statistical programming languages
- Strong data visualization knowledge
- Exposure to business intelligence or analysis platforms
- Naturally curious with ability to drive business decisions
- Effective verbal and written communication to present complex information
- Proactive, self-starter with strong time-management and prioritization skills
