Overview In this role you will design, evaluate, and maintain laboratory technical and quality procedures for pathology trainees. You will ensure strict adherence to processes and oversee quality management across the section. You will supervise a multidisciplinary team responsible for the development and operation of lab quality systems. This dual appointment with Dallas County and UT Southwestern offers a meaningful chance to impact forensic pathology training and laboratory excellence.

Responsibilities- Design, review, and implement laboratory technical and quality procedures for pathology residents and fellows
- Ensure adherence to technical processes and procedures across the section
- Oversee section quality management and continuous improvement
- Supervise professional, technical, and administrative staff involved in lab operations and quality activities
- Support development and maintenance of new and existing laboratory processes and quality systems
Key requirements- Ph.D. in physical sciences, biology, chemistry, or forensic science
- experience or capability to manage cross-institutional duties (dual appointment)
