Overview Assist the Land Development Project Manager across acquisition and development of communities, coordinating schedules, budgets, and infrastructure work. You will liaison with municipalities, utilities, and contractors to ensure compliant, timely delivery of finished lots. This role supports scalable land development programs at a Fortune 500 homebuilder, offering growth opportunities and cross-functional collaboration. You drive on-site execution, safety, and documentation to sustain project momentum and company goals.

Responsibilities- Manage consultants to create land development schedules and budgets
- Oversee infrastructure construction phases from start to finish until finished lots are delivered
- Coordinate with municipalities and utility contractors to install sewer, water, and electricity infrastructure
- Verify material deliveries for fill, piping, storm drains, concrete, and amenities
- Coordinate on-site construction activity with subcontractors and field consultants
- Review and coordinate with engineers/contractors to maintain budget and schedule
- Manage land development department operations, including budgets and invoice review
- Verify work in progress and contractor activity
- Ensure regulatory and safety compliance (OSHA, dust control, SWPPP) at construction sites
- Coordinate inspection processes with municipal and utility inspectors
- Communicate progress with multiple departments, field personnel, contractors, and agency representatives
- Maintain project files and records
- Conduct business professionally to support customers and company profitability
Key requirements- High school diploma or GED
- Two to four years of related experience and/or training
- Must have a vehicle and a valid driver's license
- Knowledge of heavy civil construction practices
- Fluency in construction documents, surveys, and technical reports
- Ability to prioritize, plan, and meet deadlines
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to interface with all levels, vendors, subcontractors, and laborers
- Excellent problem/conflict resolution skills
- Ability to make effective decisions under pressure in a high-volume, fast-paced environment
- Ability to manage budgets for each community
- Proficiency with MS Office and email
