Applied Scientist II, Amazon Supply Chain

As an Applied Scientist at AWS Applied AI Solutions, you will build enterprise AI-powered supply chain applications at global scale. You translate research into production models that support millions of customers, using ML, generative AI, and agentic AI. You'll work in a startup-like environment within AWS, tackling ambiguous problems with modern AI tech while collaborating with cross-functional partners. This role offers the chance to shape practical, turnkey solutions that help customers decide between buy vs. build. You drive impact by delivering production-ready AI capabilities that optimize supply chains.

• Design, develop, and deploy ML models for demand forecasting, inventory optimization, anomaly detection, and supply chain decision-making
• Create generative AI and agentic AI solutions to automate complex supply chain workflows and provide adaptive recommendations
• Frame real-world business problems as ML challenges, defining data needs, model architectures, metrics, and experiments
• Lead end-to-end applied science projects from ideation to offline assessment, A/B testing, and scalable production deployment
• Collaborate with engineering, product, and business stakeholders to translate science into customer-facing features; mentor team members

• 3+ years building models for business applications
• PhD, or Master's degree with 4+ years of CS, CE, ML or related field experience
• Experience programming in Java, C++, Python or related language
