Risk Advisor - Commercial Lines

Overview

In this role you will drive new business and service commercial insurance clients by leveraging leads and your product knowledge. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to quote, bind, and issue policies, while ensuring accuracy and timely client follow-up. You'll maintain ongoing client relationships, manage renewals, and support financial aspects of account handling. This position offers growth in a collaborative, community-focused environment with opportunities to deepen insurance expertise.

Responsibilities
  • Contact leads promptly and gather information to determine suitable markets and placements
  • Complete Acord or company-specific applications
  • Obtain quotes or coordinate with marketing/underwriters for quotes
  • Present proposals to insureds and ensure binding in writing by effective date
  • Assist with financing options and determine payment plans
  • Verify accuracy of new business policies
  • Follow up on outstanding balances and maintain current accounts
  • Coordinate renewals, endorsements, audits, cancellations, claims, and related requests with customer service
  • Keep P&C license active and pursue continuing education
  • Attend meetings and perform other duties as needed
  • Comply with AML/BSA regulations
  • Support relationships with underwriters and other industry contacts
  • Maintain accurate documentation and office procedures
