Irrigation Manager

Overview

In this role you will oversee irrigation services for a commercial landscape portfolio, coordinating crews, materials, and subcontractors to deliver quality, cost-efficient irrigation. You will support sales and design tasks with Account Managers and may pursue irrigation sales yourself. You will train and develop field staff, manage schedules, safety, and administrative systems, and align operations with BrightView's service standards. The role offers impact across operations and client outcomes, within a growth-focused landscape team.

Responsibilities
  • Schedule and direct personnel and resources to provide irrigation services
  • Manage all irrigation services including materials, people, equipment, and subcontractors
  • Inspect properties and prepare action plans for service
  • Monitor irrigation systems to identify problems post-installation and service
  • Perform hands-on work with crews to meet scheduling demands
  • Assist Branch Manager with staffing, hiring, and daily crew schedules
  • Ensure proper paperwork for employee changes and new hires
  • Counsel, train, discipline, and develop growth plans for employees
  • Provide hands-on training on equipment operation, pruning, safety, and quality standards
  • Maintain administrative systems (time sheets, databases, service schedules)
  • Order materials and monitor costs and deliveries
  • Assist irrigation sales tasks as required
Key requirements
  • Minimum 3 years in customer service, management, and leadership in landscaping or local market
  • 1-2 years supervisory experience
  • Obtain and maintain certifications and licenses needed for local work
  • Education: Associate's degree in a business-related field (or equivalent experience)
