Elder Care & Estate Planning Attorney

In this role, you will guide clients through comprehensive estate planning, including wills, trusts, powers of attorney, and advance directives. You will coordinate wealth transfer strategies, charitable giving, and tax planning, while administering trusts and estates, including probate and Surrogate's Court filings. You will draft and interpret complex estate planning documents and work with financial professionals to implement plans. You will handle guardianship and elder law matters, such as Medicaid planning, and maintain strong, long-term client relationships within a collaborative team. • Advise on estate planning including wills, trusts, powers of attorney, and advance directives
• Counsel on wealth transfer, charitable giving, and tax planning
• Administer trusts and estates, including probate and court filings; assist with related litigation when needed
• Draft, review, and interpret complex estate planning documents and trust agreements
• Coordinate with financial advisors and other professionals to implement estate plans
• Handle guardianship and elder law matters (Medicaid planning and applications)
• Maintain ongoing client relationships and deliver high-quality service

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school
• Admission to the New York State Bar (or eligible for admission)
• 3+ years of experience in trust and estate planning and administration
• Strong knowledge of estate, gift, and fiduciary income tax law
• Excellent drafting, analytical, and communication skills
• Ability to manage multiple matters and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
