Overview In this role you will lead QA operations and supervise a team of QA Technicians to ensure product quality, regulatory compliance, and continuous improvement. You will balance hands-on testing with people leadership to maintain high quality across production processes. You will drive data-driven decisions for material releases, product approvals, and CAPA actions in collaboration with cross-functional teams. This position offers impact by shaping quality standards, advancing testing methods, and promoting Printpack core values in daily operations. You will be a technical escalation point and contribute to audits and continuous improvement initiatives.
Responsibilities- Supervise and develop QA Technicians IIs; assign work and manage testing schedules
- Oversee hands-on testing and validate data produced by the team
- Make go/no-go material release decisions and product approvals
- Lead defect containment and coordinate corrective actions (CAPA)
- Maintain testing expertise, equipment operation, and quality standards
- Ensure compliance with policies, regulations, and customer specs
- Oversee calibration programs and maintenance schedules
- Serve as escalation point for complex quality issues and investigations
- Participate in internal/external audits and cross-functional problem-solving
- Maintain quality records in QMS and other systems
- Contribute to safety programs and quality improvement initiatives
