Overview In this role you will lead field fundraising efforts to secure and grow philanthropic support for Teach For America's Emerging Markets. You will manage multi-market teams, partner with Executive Directors, and drive a long-term fundraising strategy across public and private streams. You'll focus on expanding donor relationships, increasing major gifts, and building a sustainable revenue pipeline. This position offers high impact through education equity work and cross-regional leadership.
Responsibilities- Develop and execute a multi-year fundraising strategy for the Emerging Markets vertical, strengthening existing streams and driving new donor acquisition
- Manage a portfolio of major donors and prospects across multiple funding streams, cultivating and soliciting five- and six-figure gifts
- Lead, coach, and develop fundraising professionals, aligning performance with goals
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to assess market opportunities and align strategies with local priorities
- Maintain accurate donor and activity data in the CRM, use data to monitor performance and inform strategy
- Contribute to team and organizational priorities and foster cross-functional fundraising collaboration
Key requirements- 10+ years in development and fundraising; proven track record with 5- and 6-figure gifts
- Bachelor's Degree
- Experience managing a donor portfolio and leading people
- Fundraising experience in Western USA states
- Track record of meeting/exceeding ambitious goals
- Exceptional relationship builder and influencer across diverse external stakeholders
- Proactive in cultivating strategic partnerships and donor engagement
- Strong coaching and leadership capabilities; collaborative mindset
- Fundraising strategy development across multiple funding streams
- Grant proposal development and fundraising narratives
- Portfolio management and donor lifecycle experience
