Overview

In this role you will manage litigation from start to finish for creditors' rights matters within a respected law firm. You'll operate in a fast-paced, team-focused environment, handling case strategy, court appearances, and settlements to achieve favorable outcomes. You will work closely with clients, staff, and opposing counsel to move cases forward efficiently. The position offers substantial courtroom exposure, independence in caseload management, and strong training.

Responsibilities
  • Handle litigation matters from inception through resolution
  • Draft, review, and file pleadings, motions, discovery responses, and other legal documents
  • Negotiate settlements and work toward efficient resolution of disputed matters
  • Attend hearings, mediations, and court appearances in assigned territory (travel reimbursed)
  • Partner with internal staff, clients, and opposing counsel to move cases forward
  • Maintain accurate case records and manage deadlines across multiple matters
Key requirements
  • Active law license in the State of Texas
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze cases and negotiate effective settlements
  • Strong understanding of civil litigation practices and courtroom procedures
  • Excellent written, verbal, and negotiation skills
  • Ability to prioritize competing deadlines and manage a high-volume caseload
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and legal technology platforms
  • Self-motivated professional capable of working independently while collaborating effectively with colleagues
  • Strong analytical abilities, sound judgment, and commitment to high-quality client service
