Overview As a People Operations Manager, you will lead a small team to deliver high-quality people services aligned with business goals. You'll partner with leaders to streamline processes, support the full employee lifecycle, and drive continuous improvement. The role focuses on delivering excellent service, shaping policy, and enabling a positive, high-performing employee experience. You will influence change across the organisation and work closely with senior stakeholders to create impact.
Responsibilities- Lead and develop a small People team to ensure excellent service delivery
- Provide guidance to managers on people-related matters
- Oversee recruitment from planning to onboarding
- Manage employee relations and support complex casework
- Drive improvements across processes, systems, and policies
- Support talent development, performance management, and succession planning
- Assist with organisational change projects and workforce planning
- Support compensation, benefits, and benchmarking efforts
- Ensure legal and governance compliance
- Produce and analyse people data to inform decisions and identify trends
Key requirements- Experience in a People Operations or HR Manager role
- CIPD Level 5 qualification or equivalent practical experience
- Strong knowledge of employment law and HR best practice
- Experience managing employee relations from start to finish
- Track record of improving processes and service delivery
- Experience leading, coaching, or developing team members
- Ability to build relationships and influence stakeholders
