Overview You will lead daily field oversight of highway and bridge construction projects, ensuring contractor work aligns with plans and schedules. Based in Falmouth, Maine, you'll coordinate with field inspectors and the contractor, monitor progress, and manage documentation through closeout. Responsibilities- Supervise field operations and perform construction supervision and inspections
- Coordinate between field inspectors and contractor representatives
- Monitor progress and report deviations from schedule, cost, or quantity
- Track and review submittals to ensure timely approvals
- Maintain project records and cost-related documentation
- Perform final inspections, prepare punch lists, and oversee closeout
- Attend progress meetings and draft correspondence
- Other duties as assigned
Key requirements- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management preferred
- 7+ years of construction inspection experience, including 2+ years in highway/bridge inspection
- Familiarity with MaineDOT specifications and documentation practices
- Ability to travel to remote field locations and reliable transportation
