Overview In this role you support clients, advisors, and insurer partners as a technical resource within our Employee Benefits practice. You manage policy activity and stewardship, analyze claims data for larger accounts, and guide proposals and enrollment discussions. You ensure benefits compliance and navigate ACA implications, helping clients optimize their benefit programs. You will build strong relationships with carriers and drive improvements across the firm's processes and service levels. This position offers exposure to a national client base and a collaborative, client-focused culture.
Responsibilities- Manage policy activity and stewardship for the book of business
- Analyze claims data and report trends, benchmark against industry data
- Ensure client benefits compliance and advise on ACA implications
- Prepare information for marketplace proposals and present options
- Conduct enrollment meetings with prepared materials
- Maintain accuracy and timeliness to minimize errors and omissions claims
- Manage some house accounts without leadership support
- Review accounts to expand lines or adjust coverage at renewal
- Build and maintain relationships with insurance company partners
- Present risks to the marketplace for quoting as needed
- Answer inquiries for options or changes to coverage
- Meet with clients at office or on-site
- Identify opportunities to improve the firm, business segment, and processes
- Escalate issues to leadership
Key requirements- 5+ years of insurance-related experience
- Proven effective presentation skills (verbal and written)
- Working knowledge of relevant software
- Licensed as required by state insurance departments (or willing to obtain within 90 days)
