Overview

Join Optum's EHR Services to help transform healthcare delivery through Epic billing solutions. As an Epic Professional Billing Claims Analyst, you will act as a subject matter expert for Resolute Professional Billing, supporting claim generation, edits, and payer-specific requirements while driving revenue cycle improvements. You will collaborate with operations, IT, and client teams on upgrades, design, and go-lives, focusing on timely submissions and optimized reimbursements. This remote-friendly role emphasizes leadership, mentorship, and cross-functional collaboration in a fast-growing practice that improves health outcomes at scale.

Responsibilities
  • Maintain and configure Professional Billing claims according to industry and client standards
  • Translate user requirements into design specifications and review with clients
  • Mentor client-based team members as subject matter expert
  • Lead Epic upgrade initiatives and workflow enhancements across design, build, and test phases
  • Participate in design/validation sessions and ensure documentation and issue escalation
  • Coordinate between Operations, IT, and Third-Party Systems
  • Provide on-call support for incidents and go-lives
  • Develop and maintain knowledge of Epic functionality and operational workflows
  • Collaborate with trainers to develop training materials
  • Adhere to configuration/change control standards
  • Build strong relationships with end users and business partners
  • Attend meetings and contribute to project governance
Key requirements
  • Active / current Epic certification in Resolute Professional Billing Claims
  • 4+ years of healthcare experience
  • 4+ years of experience in an Epic analyst role with function and build experience
  • 4+ years of knowledge of revenue cycle metrics, KPIs, and process improvement techniques related to these areas
  • 3+ years of direct client healthcare domain knowledge (billing, payment posting, denial management, etc.)
