Overview As a Project Engineer in Walbridge's Operations Team, you will guide on-site engineering activities for large construction projects across data centers, vehicle manufacturing, or general build work. You will support planning, design interpretation, constructability reviews, and shop drawing processing to keep projects on schedule. You'll develop and manage project engineering procedures and documents in the Prolog database and coordinate meeting minutes and information requests. The role requires travel to client sites and close collaboration with cross-functional teams to drive project success. Responsibilities- Ensure project engineering activities align with contract and company requirements and support the construction schedule
- Provide technical support for construction efforts including planning, design interpretation, constructability reviews, and shop drawing processing
- Develop, implement and administer project engineering procedures and other work controlling documents
- Manage project engineering and related personnel functions including subcontractor planning and administration
- Interface on-site departments to resolve problems and maintain construction quality in support of schedules
- Represent company in project management meetings; advise on risk and project status
- Serve as key technical lead on projects, potentially handling one or more small to medium projects
Key requirements- 4-year engineering degree or equivalent technical training
- Minimum of 3 years of similar construction engineering experience
- Advanced knowledge of construction engineering technology, codes, standards, and interdependencies with other units
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
