Overview In this on-site role, you lead the HR service delivery for the Michigan City operation, translating business priorities into local people programs. You guide workforce planning, organizational effectiveness, leadership development, and compliance, coordinating with multiple functions. You will drive culture transformation and use data to improve staffing, engagement, and HR processes. This role offers the chance to shape people strategy in a global industrial context and partner with cross-functional leaders to deliver measurable impact.
Responsibilities- Lead and develop the Michigan City HR Business Partners and Talent Acquisition teams
- Own workforce planning, succession, and leadership development for the supported business
- Drive culture transformation aligned with values, leadership behaviors, and performance expectations
- Assess cultural strengths and barriers using data and stakeholder input, translate into action plans
- Partner with managers to model desired behaviors and embed cultural practices in performance and recognition
- Design and execute change-management and employee-engagement strategies across geographies
- Advise managers on complex employee relations, investigations, and organizational change while balancing risk
- Oversee HR policies, processes, and risk escalation; ensure policy compliance and effective governance
- Coordinate talent acquisition, onboarding, retention, communications, inclusion, training, and conflict-resolution programs
- Use workforce data to set targets and monitor trends for improvements in staffing, retention, and service delivery
Key requirements- Bachelor's degree in HR Management or related field; Master's a plus
- Minimum 8 years of progressive HR experience; at least 5 years leading an HR team in a complex environment
- Manufacturing experience strongly preferred; global/international experience a plus
- PHR or SHRM certification preferred
- Strong business acumen, change leadership, project management, data analysis, coaching, and influence
- Ability to manage multiple priorities, delegate, and ensure timely task completion
- Effective communication across functions, cultures, and levels; high integrity and confidentiality
