Overview In this co-op you will support R&D chemistry efforts for body-worn drug delivery devices, focusing on biocompatibility and patient safety. You will work in the chemistry lab, operate and document results from analytical instruments, and coordinate external testing when needed. The role offers hands-on experience with device materials, data-driven decision making, and cross-functional collaboration. It is an onsite, structured learning opportunity at Insulet in Acton, MA with potential for ongoing development.

Responsibilities- Operate GCMS and perform off-gas analysis on Pod components using a headspace autosampler
- Use FTIR to investigate foreign matter in R&D, post-market, or manufacturing contexts
- Apply UPLC-MS to study extractable and leachable profiles of Pod
- Coordinate sample submission to external contract labs
- Author Test Protocols and Test Reports for biocompatibility as needed
- Support other groups as needed to balance workloads
- Follow safety guidelines
- Maintain electronic and/or paper notebooks
- Author/establish Tool Files for instruments and procedures in the chemistry lab
