Overview As Change Manager at Safran Seats USA, you drive the configuration management (CM) program for seat production, shaping how changes are analyzed, approved, and deployed across programs. You tailor CMS processes to Safran Group and customer requirements and lead CM activities within the Change Control Board. You will support CMS deployment in SSUSA and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure compliant, efficient change delivery that underpins high-quality seats.
Responsibilities- Analyze contract requirements for Change Management during bids
- Tailor CMS and OEM/customer requirements; establish and maintain the program Configuration Management Plan
- Manage flow-down of CM requirements to sub-contractors and suppliers
- Define and lead the Configuration Control Board (CCB) activities
- Participate in Master Engineering Reviews (MER) and conduct configuration audits (FCA, PCA)
- Monitor environment changes affecting CMS and devise process improvements
- Support integration and enhancement of the Change process with CM
- Assist Program Managers to ensure compliance with CM procedures
- Support Windchill-based PLM tool implementation and CM as foundation for PLM
- Perform other duties as assigned
Key requirements- Bachelor's degree in a related engineering field or 6 years of relevant experience
- 5+ years of experience in CM or related field
- CMII certification or ability to obtain quickly
- Experience with engineering documentation release/approval processes
- CATIA V5 / SmarTeam or equivalent PLM systems experience
- Aerospace or automotive background; knowledge of DMU, Boeing/Airbus specs
- Strong communication, problem solving, and project management skills
- Ability to plan strategically and work autonomously
