Overview In this role, you will lead field operations on transportation construction projects, ensuring alignment with contract documents and codes while guiding a team of field personnel. You'll interface with clients and contractors to resolve issues, oversee materials testing, and ensure safety and compliance. You'll contribute to a growing construction management practice within WSP and help deliver projects valued at scale. This is a hands-on leadership position with a focus on quality, safety, and client satisfaction.

Responsibilities- Plan, review and assign work to field staff and the construction field office
- Review construction processes and engineering layouts for accuracy and feasibility
- Coordinate and resolve issues with client and contractor field supervision
- Oversee materials testing activities and project documentation
- Attend and potentially lead construction meetings with client and contractors
- Uphold ethical standards and adhere to WSP's Code of Conduct and safety policies
- Perform additional duties as required by business needs
Key requirements- Bachelor's degree in an engineering-related field preferred (e.g. Construction Management, Civil Engineering)
- Minimum 7 years' relevant experience in Resident Engineer/Construction Manager roles on transportation projects valued at $10M+
- Ability to read and understand contract documents
- Working knowledge of regulations, codes, standards, and materials
- Effective oral and written communication skills
- Valid Nevada driver's license
- Proven safety record and compliance with health, safety, and harassment policies
- Preferred: Professional Engineer (PE) or CCM certification
