Overview

As a Compensation Analyst focusing on sales, you will design predictive commission and financial models to evaluate plans and payouts. You will analyze performance data to gauge plan effectiveness and guide design decisions, while collaborating with Finance to ensure accurate payments and controls. You'll produce recurring and ad-hoc reports to support leadership decisions and ongoing optimization of compensation programs. You will also drive process improvements, data integrity, and cross-functional engagement to resolve issues and implement enhancements. This role offers the chance to shape compensation strategy in a data-driven, cross-functional environment.

Responsibilities
  • Design and develop predictive commission and financial models for sales compensation plans and payout scenarios
  • Analyze compensation and performance data to assess plan effectiveness and trends
  • Translate analyses into actionable insights for senior leadership and plan design
  • Lead and support manual commissions, contests, and bonuses with Finance for accurate payments and controls
  • Build and maintain recurring and ad-hoc reports and models to support leadership decisions
  • Ensure data integrity and compliance across compensation and reporting systems through validation and audit processes
  • Serve as primary contact for employee compensation questions and disputes
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to improve data workflows and compensation processes
  • Prepare and maintain compensation documentation, rollout communications, and pay calculators
  • Lead or support special projects and continuous improvement initiatives in compensation analytics and systems
  • Manage distribution and acknowledgement of plan documents via internal systems
  • Conduct user acceptance testing and data reviews during system changes and territory realignments
Key requirements
  • Bachelor degree in required
  • 3-5 years of analytical experience in Compensation, Finance, or related field
  • Experience analyzing large datasets to identify issues, trends, and exceptions
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (financial/compensation modeling)
  • Database skills; Tableau experience a plus
  • Commission/incentive management system experience preferred
  • Strong Microsoft PowerPoint skills
  • Self-starter with leadership ability and business acumen
  • Highly detail-oriented with strong analytical skills
