Overview In this role you drive the Product Legal program at Databricks, coordinating cross-functional teams to ensure compliant software offerings worldwide. You own workflows, dashboards, and AI-powered tooling to streamline legal review and automation. You'll design Jira pipelines, monitor regulatory updates, and deliver scalable processes that support fast growth. This position combines program management with legal operations to enable engineering and product teams to move faster with confidence.
Responsibilities- Own the Product Legal Program execution, tracking compliance rollouts and managing cross-functional workstreams to meet deadlines
- Architect and optimize Jira workflows and automations to route and track legal requests and minimize manual overhead
- Build and maintain next-gen AI tooling and prompts (Claude Code, Cursor, etc.) to automate routine legal tasks and scale knowledge
- Maintain data-driven dashboards with real-time visibility on ticket volumes, product reviews, and compliance risks
- Scale how legal advice is delivered to engineering and product teams by turning complex requirements into repeatable project plans and guardrails
- Drive proactive continuous improvement by identifying bottlenecks and implementing solutions to support Databricks' rapid growth
Key requirements- Program management or paralegal experience in a fast-paced in-house tech company or tech-focused law firm
- Familiarity with software development lifecycle and regulatory concepts
- Experience with AI productivity tools and coding tools (e.g., Claude Code, Cursor) and Jira for workflow management
- Autonomy and accountability with a track record of delivering projects without micro-management
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, able to interface with senior legal counsel and cross-functional teams
