Compensation Analyst/Sr Compensation Analyst

Overview

In this role you design, administer, and govern compensation programs across the enterprise to support equitable and market-competitive pay. You will manage the annual review cycle, pricing analyses, and salary structures while ensuring compliance and robust reporting. You will collaborate with HR, Finance, and IT to drive data-driven decisions and governance. This opportunity lets you influence executive compensation and enterprise-wide pay strategy within a regulated utility. You will work in a governance-focused, analytical environment that values accuracy and cross-functional partnership.

Responsibilities
  • Manage the organization's job architecture and salary structure framework, including job evaluations, levels, and market alignment
  • Oversee the annual compensation review process with cross-functional partners to ensure timely, accurate execution
  • Support design, analysis, and administration of executive compensation programs and long-term incentives
  • Assist with annual compliance reviews and FLSA assessments to maintain regulatory and policy compliance
  • Develop and maintain compensation reporting and analytics, validate data, and coordinate system updates for planning and budgeting
  • Support confidential compensation initiatives and enterprise-wide projects (e.g., M&A due diligence, restructurings)
  • Carry out additional responsibilities as requested or assigned
Key requirements
  • Bachelor degree or equivalent work experience in business, accounting, finance, or HR
  • Two+ years in compensation, HR, finance, or related field for Analyst level; five+ years for Sr Analyst level
  • Advanced knowledge of compensation programs, processes, and technology
  • Experience with Human Capital Management (HCM) systems for compensation administration and reporting
  • Basic knowledge of executive compensation and nonqualified plans
  • High attention to detail, strong customer focus, and ability to influence
  • Excellent communication and ability to meet deadlines; strong project management and multi-tasking skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, vlookups) and ability to extract and present data from HRIS
