Overview In this role you will oversee and actively manage claims from a Third Party Administrator and a primary/excess inventory across Starr's Risk Management footprint. You will perform coverage analyses, assess liability, and provide timely reserves, with audits and on-site reviews. You'll negotiate cost-efficient settlements, participate in mediations or trials as needed, and keep underwriters, actuaries, and reinsurers informed about losses. You contribute to a growing, client-focused risk management culture.

Responsibilities- Oversee claims managed by TPA and internal inventory across multiple jurisdictions
- Perform prompt coverage analysis, liability investigation, and reserve evaluations
- Audit claims systems and conduct on-site visits
- Attend mediations/settlements and, when needed, trials to secure favorable outcomes
- Provide timely updates to underwriters, actuaries, and reinsurers regarding losses
Key requirements- 8-10 years in energy claims handling, management, or overseeing TPAs
- Experience handling large commercial complex coverage analysis
- Proven success in managing litigation, evaluating and negotiating casualty claims
- Strong organization, documentation, and time-management skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication; diplomatic, customer-focused
- Willingness to travel as required
- Juris Doctor preferred
