Responsibilities- Create solution intent and architectural vision for complex solutions and align requirements with the technology roadmap
- Contribute to architecture roadmap across Business, Application, Data, and Technology domains
- Clarify architecture and assist with system design to support implementation and resolve impediments
- Lead design of complex architectures and explore creative solutions through proofs of concept
- Educate teams on technology practices, standardization, and best practices
- Support technology stack selection and identification of preferred products
- Perform design and code reviews to ensure non-functional requirements (security, performance, maintainability, scalability, usability, reliability) are met
- Design and own Exchange Online architectures (Hybrid, Coexistence, multi-geo, HA/DR)
- Plan and execute large-scale Exchange migrations (on-prem to Online, cross-forest/tenant, public folders)
- Define operational models for Exchange Online (monitoring, incident response, release management, capacity planning)
- Address security, compliance, governance (DLP, retention, eDiscovery) and secure mail flow
Key requirements- 8+ years in enterprise messaging or collaboration architecture
- 4+ years hands-on Exchange Online experience
- Deep expertise in Exchange Server 2016/2019 (hybrid/coexistence)
- Experience with Exchange Online mail flow/transport and Edge services
- Autodiscover, DNS, SMTP architecture knowledge
- Email hygiene systems (DLP, Malware, Spoofing, Phishing, Tagging)
- Microsoft 365 identity integration and Hybrid connectivity knowledge
- Experience delivering large-scale migrations (10k+ mailboxes preferred)
- Understanding of throttling, concurrency, migration optimization
- End-user impact management and communications
- Excellent documentation and communication
- Ability to explain complex technical topics to non-technical stakeholders
