Family Law Litigation Support Director - Forensic Valuation & Litigation Support

Overview

In this Director role, you lead forensic valuation and litigation support engagements for family law matters, guiding case strategy and client expectations. You will develop business with current and new referral sources, oversee projects, and mentor staff to grow the firm's litigation offerings. You'll serve as a key contact, contribute to marketing efforts, and help prepare expert witness materials for trial. This position combines technical financial analysis with leadership to shape complex disputes and grow market presence.

Responsibilities
  • Lead family law engagements with analysts, senior consultants, and managers to support the expert witness
  • Develop case strategy and manage multiple engagements simultaneously
  • Expand relationships to develop business from existing and prospective clients
  • Participate in marketing and business development efforts (webinars, presentations, events)
  • Act as primary client liaison and handle project management tasks including billing
  • Coach and guide team members to meet client expectations
  • Consult on family law engagements and provide financial insight to counsel from discovery to testimony
  • Assemble and maintain working papers supporting expert opinions and calculations
  • Review reports and assist with trial preparation and deposition testimony
  • Adhere to high professional standards and client confidentiality
  • Perform other duties within the scope of practice
Key requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or related field
  • 7+ years of related experience (emphasis on family law/litigation support services)
  • One or more certifications (or working towards): CPA, CFE, CFF, ABV, ASA, CVA, MAFF; CPA preferred
  • Strong financial analysis skills and Microsoft Excel skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills and active participation in networking
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects
