Overview

As Clinical Laboratory Supervisor you lead day-to-day operations of the Core Laboratory to ensure accurate, timely test results. You'll coach and mentor staff, optimize workflow, and uphold quality and regulatory standards. The role supports continuous process improvements and works closely with cross-functional teams to deliver reliable diagnostics. This leadership position offers growth within Labcorp's mission to improve health and lives through data-driven healthcare solutions.

Responsibilities
  • Supervise daily operations of the Core Laboratory
  • Ensure tests are performed accurately and results reported promptly
  • Directly supervise, train, and mentor department personnel
  • Monitor workflow and ensure adequate assay coverage across shifts
  • Staff scheduling and coverage for all shifts
  • Research and resolve production errors, escalate when needed
  • Drive continuous process and service level improvements
  • Maintain equipment through Quality Control
  • Prepare and maintain Quality Assurance records
  • Evaluate new process improvements and recommend actions
  • Provide coaching and feedback to direct reports
  • Perform bench work as needed and maintain technical proficiency
  • Ensure compliance with state and Federal regulations
  • Administer policies and procedures
  • Handle payroll, personnel files, and administrative duties as needed
  • Maintain proficiency in Laboratory operations and procedures
  • Assist with regulatory and quality documentation
Key requirements
  • Bachelor in Chemical or Biological science, Clinical Laboratory Science, Medical Technology or equivalent regulatory-compliant degree
  • 2+ years of technologist/technician experience in core lab
  • ASCP or AMT certification
  • Strong communication (written and verbal)
