Overview

As Human Resource Manager, you partner with leadership to deploy HR processes that develop an efficient, engaged, and inclusive workforce in a manufacturing setting. You'll focus on recruiting, employee relations, performance management, and continuous improvement to support plant operations. You will work closely with leaders to drive a high-performing culture and compliant, data-driven HR practices. This role offers hands-on scope across HR systems, engagement initiatives, and organizational development with a meaningful impact on safety and productivity.

Responsibilities
  • Employee Relations: act as the primary ER contact, guide leaders and associates, improve engagement, and support policy adherence
  • Recruiting & Performance Management: manage full employee life cycle, lead hourly recruiting in high-volume environment, oversee onboarding and performance reviews
  • System and Compliance Support: coordinate HRIS (Ceridian Dayforce, SuccessFactors), manage attendance policy, maintain records, ensure regulatory compliance (EEO, FLSA, OSHA, FMLA, ADA)
  • Continuous Improvement: promote safety culture, identify risks and improvement opportunities, track HR metrics, contribute to department projects
Key requirements
  • 5+ years in a site-level HR role
  • Manufacturing operations experience
  • Experience managing at least 1 direct report
  • Strong coaching and advisory skills for supervisors/managers
  • High-volume staffing and temporary workforce experience
  • Advanced Excel and PowerPoint; strong Microsoft Office skills
  • Knowledge of employment laws (FMLA, FLSA, OSHA, EEO, ADA)
  • HR areas expertise: relations, compensation, talent management, engagement
  • Excellent verbal and written communication
  • Experience with Time and Attendance systems (Ceridian preferred)
  • Ability to build business cases from data; manufacturing recruiting experience
  • Analytical, organized, detail-oriented; independent, deadline-driven
  • Continuous improvement mindset; cross-functional collaboration
  • Bachelor's degree in HR or related field or equivalent experience
  • PHR/SPHR/GPHR certification preferred
