Overview As a General Superintendent on a large-scale project, you lead field operations and a team of superintendents to deliver on safety, schedule, budget, and quality. You will work on-site daily, coordinating trades, managing site services, and ensuring compliance with contract documents. You shape safety culture, drive constructability decisions, and maintain strong relationships with owners, unions, and partners. Responsibilities- Direct day-to-day coordination of trade contractors and sub-contractors to meet the project schedule and quality standards
- Manage the project budget for general conditions and site services
- Develop and communicate field work plans and changes
- Maintain understanding of contract documents to anticipate issues
- Ensure subcontractors obtain necessary construction permits
- Serve as primary safety representative and enforce safety Compliance
- Develop safety strategies and promote safety culture across project personnel
- Plan and manage workarounds, shutdowns, and tie-ins
- Establish credibility with owners, contractors, unions, and partners
- Lead contractor meetings and maintain daily reports and documentation
- Create and update project schedules, including contingency plans
- Coordinate jobsite logistics and material/crew needs
- Develop the Quality in Construction (QIC) plan and oversee its execution
- Train Field Engineers and Superintendents on project needs and processes
- Assist in preconstruction activities to write scopes of work and supports buyout
- Track Time and Materials (T&M) and manage reporting
- Lead daily huddles, pre-task planning, and stretch activities
- Engage with the local community and strengthen client and partner relationships
- Collaborate with business development to align on sales strategies and project metrics
- Communicate department strategy to direct reports
- Support junior roles as needed
- Maintain alignment with company standards in workload and performance

Key requirements- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Construction Management
- 10-15 years of experience on $30-$100 million commercial/industrial construction projects or multiple projects in a lead superintendent role
- OSHA 30-hour certification
- STS-C Certification
- First Aid, CPR, AED, Stop the Bleed Training
- Equivalent combination of education and experience
- Strong communication
- Excellent organizational skills
- Problem solving and adaptability
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and industry-standard construction software
- Construction-document and drawing literacy with knowledge of all construction phases
- Experience with all divisions of work, scheduling, and cost control
