Overview

In this role you will oversee construction management for water and wastewater projects, guiding contract administration, field coordination, and safety compliance to deliver critical infrastructure. You will work within a multi-disciplinary team on major pump stations and transmission systems, shaping project delivery and solution outcomes. You'll coordinate between design, contractor, and owner, resolving issues and ensuring timely submittals and start-up activities. Responsibilities
  • Contract management and liaison among design team, contractor, and owner
  • Review submittals to keep work progressing
  • Provide technical and contractual input on active projects
  • Handle RFI, change orders, pay requisitions, schedules, and correspondence
  • Manage multiple projects with onsite meetings and milestone events
  • Prepare and manage construction correspondence; identify key issues like disputed work and non-conforming work
  • Ensure safety monitoring activities are performed as per scope
  • Assist Resident Engineer and inspectors in technical field solutions
  • Notify Engineer of discrepancies between documents and work
  • Lead negotiations on Change Orders
  • Verify field testing, start-up, and O&M training align with contract documents
Key requirements
  • BA/BS in Construction, Construction Management, Civil Engineering or related degree
  • 8 years of construction management experience on water/wastewater capital projects
  • OSHA-10 Hour Safety Certification
  • Valid U.S. Driver's License and MVR clearance
  • Strong leadership under pressure with calm demeanor
  • Dispute avoidance and consensus-building
  • Ability to align stakeholders with differing interests
  • Contract administration
  • Change order negotiation
  • Field coordination and on-site oversight
