Overview In this role you will support the stability, performance, and security of SAP landscapes during a global rollout. You will manage day-to-day Basis activities, system monitoring, transports, patching, upgrades, and environment refreshes, while administering SAP security and SoD controls. You will collaborate with application, infrastructure, and security teams to enable compliant, enterprise-wide changes and hypercare during S/4HANA transformation. This position emphasizes operational excellence and governance as part of Woodward's broader SAP program. You will contribute to secure, scalable solutions that support global business needs and regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities- System lifecycle management: independently handle upgrades, environment refreshes, patches, and performance optimization
- Performance and reliability engineering: analyze metrics and implement tuning
- Security and compliance administration: manage RBAC, SoD, and audit support
- Change and transport management: coordinate deployments and troubleshoot transports
- Collaboration and knowledge transfer: work with team members, contribute to SOPs and projects
- Project planning and oversight: define goals, allocate resources, monitor timelines, ensure deliverables
- Application window management: participate in system migrations and workflow automation
- Documentation and knowledge sharing: create detailed docs and mentor juniors
Key requirements- SAP Basis administration experience (monitoring, transports, patching, upgrades, performance tuning) across ECC and S/4HANA
- Experience supporting global SAP implementations and rollouts with cutover and hypercare
- SAP Security and GRC knowledge: role-based access, user provisioning, SoD analysis, audit support
- Experience with security role design and access models aligned to global standards
- Experience administering NextLabs for data protection and compliance
- Basic understanding of cloud platforms (IBP, BTP, Azure)
- Software installation and configuration, integration with existing systems
