Overview In this role you drive people-and-compliance outcomes within a large Knoxville-area trucking organization. You will lead two HR Generalists/Recruiters and coordinate multi-site HR operations focused on driver screening, onboarding, and development. You manage benefits programs and build retention and training initiatives to support a stable, skilled driver workforce. Your work emphasizes FMCSA compliance and Driver Qualification activities to ensure safe, compliant operations while shaping a strong, employee-focused culture.
Compensation / Benefits Responsibilities- Lead two HR Generalists/Recruiters and oversee HR operations across multiple sites
- Coordinate driver background checks, pre-employment medicals, and DOT physicals for compliance
- Drive interviewing, hiring, and onboarding of drivers
- Maintain and develop employee benefits programs; design retention and training initiatives
- Ensure FMCSA compliance and Driver Qualification files are properly managed
- Support organizational culture and leadership with HR programs and processes
Key requirements- BS degree with PHR or SPHR certification
- Experience in Truck Driving/Transportation or related Logistics field
- FMCSA Compliance experience and Driver Qualification files
- Previous HR leadership experience in a multi-site setting
