JOB SUMMARY:
The Room Attendant is responsible for ensuring the cleanliness, comfort, and overall satisfaction of guests by maintaining the cleanliness and appearance of guest rooms in the hotel. This role plays a crucial part in providing a positive guest experience and upholding the hotel's standards of cleanliness and service excellence specifically in guestroom areas.
ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Clean and prepare guest rooms to hotel standards, including making beds, changing linens, and dusting
- Vacuum, mop, and sanitize floors
- Clean and disinfect bathrooms, fixtures, and surfaces
- Replace amenities, towels, and linens as needed
- Report any maintenance or repair issues in guest rooms to the Housekeeping Supervisor
- Greet guests with a friendly and courteous demeanor when encountered
- Respond promptly to guest requests related to guest rooms and ensure their comfort during their stay
- Report lost and found items in guest rooms to the Housekeeping Supervisor
- Maintain stock of cleaning supplies and amenities in the housekeeping cart
- Report low inventory levels to the Housekeeping Supervisor for replenishment
- Ensure that each guest room is properly cleaned, organized, and free of any discrepancies
- Inspect guest rooms for cleanliness and adherence to standards before guest check-in
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Previous housekeeping or cleaning experience is preferred
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining cleanliness standards
- Ability to work independently and efficiently
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Physical ability to lift, push, and pull cleaning equipment and perform cleaning tasks
- Ability to work nights, weekends and holidays as needed
