About the Opportunity
2020 Companies is hiring field technicians to support retail installation, merchandising, and equipment service projects throughout the W. Dallas market.
This position involves traveling to retail locations and completing a variety of hands-on projects for major brands such as Dell, Intel, Dyson, Google, and HP. Assignments can range from installing new displays and fixtures to repairing existing equipment and updating retail merchandising areas.
The ideal candidate is dependable, organized, comfortable working independently, and able to use mobile technology to manage assignments and submit completed-work documentation.
What You'll Be Doing
Your responsibilities will vary depending on the store and project. Typical field assignments may include:
Installing and assembling retail fixtures, shelving, endcaps, and branded displays
Completing store resets, remodels, build-outs, and merchandising updates
Setting up televisions, kiosks, interactive displays, and other electronic equipment
Maintaining and servicing existing retail displays
Installing promotional graphics, price cards, SD cards, and marketing materials
Performing software and operating system updates on display devices
Diagnosing display and equipment issues
Performing basic break-fix repairs
Following planograms, schematics, layouts, and client instructions
Taking photographs of completed work
Uploading required images, surveys, and project information
Maintaining a safe, clean, and professional work area
How the Work Is Scheduled
This is an assignment-based field position rather than a traditional fixed-location schedule.
Most assignments are scheduled Monday through Friday, generally between 7:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m. Available hours will depend on the number and type of projects in the market, so weekly hours are not guaranteed.
Depending on client requirements, you may occasionally be asked to work:
Early mornings
Evenings
Weekends
Holidays
Self-scheduling may be available for certain projects, while other assignments will have predetermined schedules.
Representatives are expected to maintain at least 20 hours of availability during a rolling 30-day period.
Managing Your Field Assignments
You will be responsible for staying on top of your assignments and communicating with field management.
Key expectations include:
Keep your availability current
Accept and schedule assignments within the required timeframe
Complete jobs by their assigned deadlines
Respond to field management communications, generally within 24 hours
Report project issues or unexpected conditions promptly
Submit accurate timecards
Report any timekeeping discrepancies that require correction
Complete all required forms and digital documentation
Track work through designated company systems
Complete required training and certifications
Assist other field representatives when requested
Some projects may involve working alongside a second technician or larger installation team.
Travel Requirements
Travel is a regular part of the position.
You must be willing to travel up to 90 miles from your residence to complete assignments throughout the service area.
Applicants must have:
Reliable personal transportation
Valid driver's license
Current automobile insurance
Ability to travel to multiple retail locations
Eligible drive time and mileage reimbursement are provided according to applicable company policies.
Physical Demands

Smartphone & Technology
Mobile technology is used throughout the assignment process.
You must have an Android or Apple smartphone with a current operating system and active data plan.
The device will be used to:
Receive and review assignments
Access digital instructions
Communicate with management
Clock in and out
Download required applications
Take project photographs
Upload images and documentation
Complete surveys
Access internet-based work systems
Applicants should be comfortable learning and using different mobile applications and digital communication tools.

Because assignments take place at client and retail locations, candidates may be required to complete additional screening.
