Job description

Are you a Board-Certified Gastroenterologist looking for a flexible locum opportunity with predictable scheduling? We are seeking a provider to join a hospital-based team in Michigan for ongoing inpatient coverage. Requirements
  • Board Certified in Gastroenterology
  • Gastroenterology Fellowship Required
  • Active Michigan License
  • ACLS & BLS Required
  • ERCP preferred but not required
  • Clean malpractice and license history

    Position Highlights
    • Specialty: Gastroenterology
    • Location: Jackson, Michigan
    • Setting: 100% Inpatient
    • Job Type: Locum Tenens
    • Start Date: January 2027
    • Commitment: 1 week per month for a minimum of 6 months
    • Potential for Extension

    Schedule
    • 24-hour call coverage
    • Saturday 7:00 AM through the following Saturday 6:59 AM
    • In-house coverage from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM
    • Nighttime pager call coverage
    • Call ratio of 1:4
    • Approximately 2 hours of call-back time per week

      Practice Details
      • Adult and Geriatric patient population
      • Hospital-based inpatient practice
      • Average daily volume:
        • 6-8 new consults
        • Approximately 8 follow-up patients
      • EMR: Epic
      • Level II Trauma Center
