    • Chest tube insertion
    • Central line insertion

    • Laparoscopic Surgery (Appendectomy, Cholecystectomy, Hernioplasty, Nissen Fundoplication, D&C, Hysterectomy, Liver surgery)
    • GI endoscopy (Upper, Lower, Sigmoidoscopy, Colonoscopy)
    • Minor Orthopedics
    • Hand Surgery
    • Ventilation management
    • PA Catheter placement
    • Laser certification
    • Vascular Surgery (Aneurysm repairs, Thoracic, Abdominal, Arterial bypass, Peripheral, Vascular access devices, AV shunt)
    • Plastic Surgery (Artesias, Esophageal, Intestinal, Biliary, Abdominal wall defects, Gastroschisis, Umbilical defects, Hernia, Omphalocele, Diaphragmatic hernia, Imperforate anus, PDA ligation)
JOB REQUIREMENTS
  • Board: BC required (Board Eligible)
  • Licenses: Licensed in IN
  • Certifications: BLS, ATLS
Duties & Responsibilities
  • Provide general surgery call coverage for inpatient cases during weekends (Thursday 7:00 AM to Monday 7:00 AM).
  • Respond to emergency surgical consultations and perform necessary procedures.
  • Manage trauma and acute surgical patients, including chest tube and central line insertions.
  • Coordinate with hospitalist team for admissions and rounding on surgical patients.
  • Maintain compliance with hospital protocols and documentation in Epic EMR.
