Job description

  • Need coverage Oct 15-21
  • Mon-Fri colonoscopy schedule.
  • Daily flow: perform scheduled colonoscopies see inpatient consults from the prior night complete any needed GI lab procedures following the scheduled cases.
  • Patient encounters per shift: 5-7.
  • Practice/support: Practice designed for 3-4 GI physicians + 3 APPs; currently 2 NPs and 1 PA-C handling pre-/post-scope workups.
  • Department: 7 beds; busy hospitalist service driving GI demand.
  • Clinical scope: Colonoscopy-focused schedule with inpatient consults and GI lab procedures as needed; complex GI patients in clinic and GI lab.
  • Facility: Trauma Level I; Peds Level II.
  • Requirements: Board Certified, ABLS, ACLS, ATLS, BLS, Fellowship: Gastroenterology fellowship
  • Estimated credentialing timeframe: 30-60 days.
