Job Title: Specialty Psychiatrist / Medical Director

Schedule:

• Fulltime employment applicant

• Monday - Friday, 8am-5pm (flexible start/end times, with possibility to work shorter hours 6 days a week or substitute a weekday for a weekend day)
• No remote options available

Certifications Required:

• DEA
• Controlled Substance License
• BLS

Licensure:

• Active Illinois State License

Experience:

• 3+ years of clinical experience in psychiatry
• 2+ years of experience in leadership

Responsibilities:

• Supervise 5 APRNs
• Provide clinical leadership and oversight to ensure delivery of psychiatric care to patients in crisis
• Consult on complex cases and assist with patient care as needed

Patient Demographics:

• Adults 18+
• Acute mental health cases, crisis evaluations, psychological distress
• Screen patients in the ER and transfer to crisis center

Unit Details:

• 12-chair recovery model
• Uses Cerner EMR system
• 27 total staff between PMHNPs and psych nurses
