A health services network in New York City is seeking a Gastroenterologist for a great opportunity at one of their outpatient medical practice in Staten Island. The role focuses on diagnosis, treatment, preventive care, and ongoing management of a wide range of gastrointestinal conditions.
About the Opportunity:

- Schedule: Full-time, Monday through Friday

Responsibilities:
- Evaluate patients through history review, physical examinations, and clinical assessment
- Diagnose and treat a broad range of gastrointestinal conditions
- Develop and manage ongoing treatment, medication, and preventive care plans
- Perform non-invasive gastroenterology procedures as appropriate
- Maintain accurate medical records and collaborate with the care team to support quality patient outcomes
Qualifications:
- Doctor of Medicine (MD) or foreign equivalent
- Completion of four years of postgraduate medical training from a U.S.-accredited residency program in the area of practice
- Three years of U.S. gastroenterology fellowship training
- Board Eligible or Board Certified in Gastroenterology
- Current, unrestricted New York State medical license
- Active DEA registration or eligibility for registration
- Active Medicare and Medicaid enrollment or eligibility to enroll
- BLS or ACLS certification
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Experience using an electronic medical record system and Microsoft Office
Desired Skills:
- One to three years of outpatient gastroenterology clinical experience
- Experience delivering care in a population health management environment
- Strong patient-centered approach
- Ability to manage diverse gastrointestinal conditions with a focus on safety and quality
