REQUIRED PROCEDURES

JOB REQUIREMENTS
  • Board: BC/BE in Emergency Medicine, Internal Medicine, or Family Medicine
  • Licenses: Active, unrestricted Ohio medical license
  • DEA / CDS: Active DEA with Ohio address and schedules 2, 2N, 3, 3N, 4, and 5
  • Certifications: NRP required for all physicians; ACLS, PALS, and ATLS required for FM/IM physicians (EM boarded physicians are exempt from ACLS, PALS, and ATLS)
  • Experience: No minimum experience requirement
  • Other Qualifications: Case logs for previous 2 years, seasonal influenza vaccine required
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Provide comprehensive emergency medical care to patients in a 17-bed, moderate-acuity community hospital ED.
  • Work 12-hour shifts with 22 hours of daily NP/PA coverage.
  • Perform moderate sedation and other emergency procedures as required.
  • Serve as a supervising physician for Physician Assistants.
  • Collaborate with the Medical Director and APP team to manage approximately 25,000 annual ED visits.
